Dr. Ayibaemi Ken Fashola.
2nd Deputy President, ICMC NIgeria
Dr. Ayibaemi Ken Fashola is currently the 2nd Deputy President of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators and has been a member of the Governing Council since 2006. He also doubles as the Chairman of the National Advisory Board of the Global Peace Foundation, a United Nations accredited NGO; as well as the 3rd Vice Dean of the association of Ambassadors for Peace.
He holds a PhD in Public Administration (USA), a Master’s degree in Marketing (Nig) and 2 post Graduate Diplomas in Management (Nig) and International Public Relations (UK). He’s an alumnus of both the United Nations University for Peace in Costa Rica where he graduated in Economics and Conflict. A very passionate peace advocate, an enthusiast and a champion for effective communication and Justice as primary tools for lasting relationship and harmony. Apart from his vocation, nothing else seems to have caught his passion more than mediation and conciliation, peace advocacy and justice. He is credited as one of the earliest pioneers of relationship/family mediation and had a column in The Punch national newspapers on account of that.
In recent years, he has lectured courses at national and international fora including Global Majority Inc. a US based peace advocacy NGO in conjunction with University of Johannesburg (RE:2009 Xenophobic Crises); Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Ghana; Henshall Centre for PR/Prof Sam Black/ Manchester Metropolitan University (UK) among others.
Dr. Fashola is also presently the Chairman of the ICMC Training Committee and doubles as both a Peace Ambassador with the Universal Peace Federation as well as MDG Ambassador with Teachers Without Borders.
