The Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators is pleased to present her Featured speaker, Dr. Fidèle Masengo Secretary General, Kigali International Arbitration Centre.
Dr. Fidele Masengo is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb), and since July 2015 up to now, he is the Secretary General of the Kigali International Arbitration Center.
He has a PhD in Law from University of Antwerp in Belgium (2010), a Master Degree in Economic law (DESS) from the University of Louvain in Belgium (2003).
His background in both arbitration and law in general, includes, serving as Arbitrator, Mediator, lecturer of International arbitration law, International Competition Law at various universities in Rwanda and East Africa. A member of the Rwanda Bar Association since 2006.
He has served to the First Board of Directors of Kigali International Arbitration Center since its establishment in January 2012 up to September 2017. He serves on the Board of The African Arbitration Association.
Prior to joining his current position at Kigali International Arbitration Center, Dr. Fidele Masengo has served as Deputy Chief of Party for a USAID Land Project. He has served as Head of Legal Department at Rwanda Utilities Regulation Agency.
He has also served as Director of Administration of Justice and Director of Public Prosecution services within the Rwandan Ministry of Justice.
He has written articles, books. He has attended many Conferences as speaker.
